Welcome to the GIS Tech HUb, a new campus-wide resource that provides information about GIS technology. The devolopment of the GIS Tech Hub and website was funded through a SUNY Innovative Instruction Technology Grant. The GIS Tech Hub project aims to create a new centralized resource for teaching, sharing, and collaboration using GIS technology. It will help to foster interdisciplinary conversations for academic and student research projects. It will also provide Buffalo State and SUNY with a platform to expand GIS research, create a network of student internships, increase grant potential and develop GIS training courses for students and professionals.
The vision statement of the GIS Tech Hub:
"The GIS Tech Hub at Buffalo State encourages and supports research and teaching across disciplines on the collection, processing, analysis and presentation of spatial data. The hub will foster the integration of emerging technologies and support the training of students and professionals”
